In the spirit of Christmas, I figured I'd get you lot a copy of the newest and most awesome fighting game ever to smash headlong into the shelves (and take the shelves with them): Battling Ultra Fitness Females! I've just picked it up myself and I haven't unlocked all the characters yet, but so far it's a lot of fun.
's Berserker Gurl faces off against
's Monster here. It's anyone's game. BerserkerGurl hits like a train, but she's lacking in ranged attacks and agility, whereas Monster is a combo beast. You have to play her really aggressively and keep comboing your opponent, lest they land a good punch on you.
's Tetsuko is an ideal beginner character. She's not the fastest, or the hardest hitting, but she's very beginner friendly and can do quite well at everything, while excelling at nothing.
's Helen Hyde, on the other hand, is more complex. When you shift her into Elaine, she becomes a lot better at dodging and regaining life, but she's one of the weaker and frailer characters until you shift her into Helen. Then she's a glass cannon - tons of damage, but don't let Berserker Gurl land that slam attack.
's Cassie is an interesting one - she's based around her super move, where she grows twelve feet tall and pounds your opponent with a convenient heavy object. Just keep her on the move until it's recharged.
's Dynaia is another beginner friendly character. She's quick and has good recovery, and she hits pretty hard with a few of her attacks. She even has pretty good ranged damage. She's exceptionally fun to play against...
's Melissa, who is the most unpredictable character I've unlocked so far. She's reasonably quick, but a lot of her attacks are really hard to pull off. She can do great damage at range and her potions will do weird things to you or your opponent. I'm not too good with her yet, though.
's Jenna is a good character who is fast and has good mid-range attacks with her slime attacks, but she's frailer and weaker in hand to hand combat than, say, Tetsuko. You can do well with her if you keep her on the run.
's Praeli is another fast combo attacker. She hits deceptively hard with a few of her moves, but they tend to be at the end of long combos. You have to psych your opponent out to play Praeli well.
's Red is a great character. She reminds me of Ike from Super Smash Brothers, because while she's not fast or good at jumping, she's just hard to kill and has a pretty powerful sword. She's hard to flinch, too, so she doesn't give up even if Monster or Praeli is wailing on her from short range.
is one I've only played a couple times so far. She has a couple different forms I haven't been able to master yet - Melee Form bulks up her muscles so she can stand toe to toe with Tetsuko or Dynaia (but perhaps not Berserker Gurl) while Ranged Form slims her down and she whips out a pair of pistols to fight Jenna or Melissa. She's a tough one to play, though.
Happy holidays, everyone. Hope you enjoy!
